Here are the top iPhone apps for bloggers. Save time running your website and managing social media.
I get this question a lot… how do you keep up with everything?
My blogging friends and consulting clients always want to know what apps I have on my iPhone. I’m continuously testing out new ones. But the apps I use on a daily basis are the basic ones that help me get things done faster—without having to power up my laptop.
So here are my current favorite iPhone apps for running a website and managing social media. This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience. You can read my full disclosure statement here.
This is the official Google Analytics app. Make sure you have Google Analytics installed on your blog (if you are interested in starting a blog, I created a tutorial that will help you start a blog of your own). Then you just log into your account in the app. I like being able to quickly check stats. I set up a custom dashboard with a few key metrics—pageviews, source, pages, and goal conversion rate—so I only have to look at one screen. I keep the date set on today vs. same day last week so I can see at a glance if anything looks out of whack.
Most Pinterest traffic comes from mobile, so you really need to use Pinterest on your phone to see what your audience sees. If you’re a blogger, Pinterest should be one of your top traffic drivers. See this post for more Pinterest tips.
Let’s talk about scheduling pins on Pinterest. I can fill up my schedule while I’m on line at the grocery store using the Tailwind app. It lets me schedule pins right from the Pinterest app or from my Safari web browser—without even opening the Tailwind app. Of course, if I want to review or change my schedule, I can go into the app to do it. The app is free for Tailwind users. You can get a free trial of Tailwind to test it out for yourself.
If you have a Facebook page for your blog, you need this pages manager app. You can post, go live, and see insights all from within the app.
Monitor your ads on the go with this app. It doesn’t have all the functionality of the desktop version, but t’s a time-saver for your daily check-ins.
What are your favorite iPhone apps for blogging?
I probably have close to 80 apps on my phone (time to start deleting!), but these are the ones I use most for blogging. What are your favorite iPhone apps for bloggers?
