Yes, you can make paleo recipes in the Instant Pot! In fact, it's perfect for fast healthy cooking, without a ton of extra work. I'm all for gadgets that make paleo cooking easier, which is exactly what your new Instant Pot will do. And these accessories will make it even easier!

This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience (which means if you make a purchase after clicking a link, at no additional cost to you, I'll receive a small commission).

    10 Best Instant Pot Accessories

    Instant Pot Glass Lid

The most popular use for this transparent glass lid is slow cooking. Turning your Instant Pot into a slow cooker is a super convenient way to get more use out of your Instant Pot. Plus, many Instant Pot recipes can easily be converted to slow cooker recipes, and vice versa. You can also use the glass lid on the keep warm function. This replacement lid is a must-have accessory for your Instant Pot!

    Steamer Basket or Egg Basket

Steamer baskets are so handy! From steaming seafood to vegetables to hard boiling eggs, you'll get plenty of use out of these steamer baskets. This steamer basket has a handle to make it easy to remove from the Instant Pot when your food is finished cooking. It comes in two sizes.

Instant Pot trivets can also be used as steamer racks. This one can be used as an egg cooker rack and can also use to stack plates or bowls to fit more food in your pressure cooker at the same time.

    Stackable Pans

Another must-have Instant Pot accessory is the stackable pan set! Versatile enough to steam vegetables, meat, and fish, as well as reheating and storing food. They're also great for cooking desserts in the Instant Pot!

    Hot Dish Tongs

To prevent your hands from burning while lifting your Instant Pot cooking pot out while it's still hot, these hot dish tongs are perfect. There are oven mitts for the Instant Pot, but I find them awkward to work with in comparison to the tongs. You can also use the tongs to lift out steamers, small pans, bowls, etc.

    Silicone Sealing Rings

I didn't think I would need an additional sealing ring right away. But the first time I cooked carnitas in the Instant Pot I ordered a backup. The smell stays in the ring, even after washing it. So you really do need one for savory dishes (think onions, garlic, and strong spices) and one for sweet or delicately flavored dishes.

And you'll need to replace the silicone rings around your Instant Pot once every 12-18 months, or sooner if you notice they need it. This set is good to have on hand for when the time comes, so your Instant Pot isn't out of commission while you wait for them to be delivered. Yes, it's only 2 days with Amazon Prime, but some things just can't wait!

    Pyrex Storage Bowls

While not specifically for the Instant Pot, you'll want to have these Pyrex storage bowls on hand for when you are meal prepping for the week, and even for leftovers if you cook a big meal. And they can be used to cook things inside your Instant Pot with the pot-in-pot method like cakes and bread. I've used this pyrex set for years so I didn't need to buy pyrex pots for my Instant Pot. The large size in this set fits the Instant Pot perfectly.

    Extra Instant Pot Cooking Pot

Many people don't think about buying an extra stainless steel cooking pot, but there are many reasons to make sure you have one on hand. The best reason of all? You made dinner and would love to pop a quick dessert in the Instant Pot, but don't feel like doing the dishes from dinner. Second cooking pot to the rescue! A second cooking pot is also great for Thanksgiving or big meals when you'll want to cook the main dish and then the side dishes one after another. For those reasons, the extra Instant Pot cooking pot is at the top of our list of Instant Post accessories.

    Steamer Egg Poachers

You can make perfect poached eggs in your Instant Pot with silicone egg cups. And, this silicone steamer set is so awesome---the ring stand on the bottom helps keep them from tipping over! Poach eggs, steam vegetables, and make desserts with this set.

    Instant Pot Silicone Lid

Designed for creating an airtight, watertight seal in the Instant Pot. This lid is made from thick, food-grade silicone, and is dishwasher safe and easy to use. If you are cooking a large meal and still need your first batch of food to be warm when the second batch is finished cooking, use this lid to keep heat in and to keep your dish warm for a longer period of time.

    Instant Pot Cover

Of course, once you get used to using your Instant Pot, you'll want to bring it to every potluck! Use this Instant Pot cover to keep everything safe, secure, and warm until you arrive.

These Instant Pot accessories will make cooking with your new Instant Pot a breeze. And they make perfect gifts for anyone who has an Instant Pot---or has one on their wish list!
