5 Favorites: Non Toxic Anti Aging Skin Care

    By Lisa Wells / Updated May 14, 2024 / Leave a Comment

This week I'm sharing my top 5 non-toxic anti-aging skin care products along with my daily skin care routine. Some are new finds and some are old favorites, but they are all in my current morning and evening skin care routines.

I've been experimenting with my skin care routine and I've found a few new favorites that have become part of my morning and night skin care routine.

I should start by saying I'm VERY picky about what skin care products I use. First, they can't include fragrance, phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde, or any of the other harmful or questionable chemicals that often end up in skin care products.

Second, they can't include lavender. I know lavender is natural and it's in a lot of skin care products but, sadly, I'm allergic to it (yes the actual flower!). And I'm really not a fan of anything with a strong scent even if it's all-natural and organic.

Lastly, it has to work! All of these products are tried and true favorites that I have tested, re-purchased, and added to my daily routine.

    Non-toxic anti-aging skin care

Here are my current favorite skin care products:

    1. Haute C Bright Serum Concentrate

I'm loving this clean Vitamin C +E +Ferulic serum! It's targeted for hyperpigmentation and boosting collagen (so important for anti-aging!). It also has Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, and Camu Camu. It has a light lemon herb scent that dissipates quickly.

It's not drying and has not caused any irritation or made my skin break out like other Vitamin C serums I've tried. My skin is looking brighter and firmer since I added the Haute C to my morning routine. New favorite!

    2. Ilia Super Skin Serum Skin Tint SPF 40

I'm always looking to up the SPF factor to combat sun damage and hyperpigmentation and this serum does it all - skin care benefits + SPF + tinted moisturizer all in one step.

It has 12% non-nano zinc oxide, to safely protect skin from UVA, UVB, UVC, blue light, and infrared rays. It boosts anti-aging benefits with Hyaluronic Acids, Squalane, and Niacinamide and comes in 18 shades for sheer coverage.

I've been wearing shade Paloma ST9, but now that my tan is fading I may need to switch to Shela ST8. I find the Super Skin Serum plus concealer is all I need for everyday coverage.

My current simplified morning routine is: Haute C + Skin Tint SPF

    3. Pipette Mineral Sunscreen SPF50

For days I'm going to be spending a lot of time outside, I'm loving this SPF50 sunscreen. It's actually a kids sunscreen so the ingredients are clean, nontoxic, and baby-friendly. It's a broad spectrum mineral sunscreen with non-nano zinc oxide and squalene. It's one of the few body sunscreens I can use on my face without breaking out so it's perfect for sunny days. And it's unscented and rubs in easily with no white cast.

    4. The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Serum

I've tried several products from The Ordinary and this is the one that stuck. Their Alpha Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid is a lightweight water-based serum that easily layers with other products (use before oils or creams). I use it as a booster for reducing dark spots in my nighttime skin care routine.

    5. Hurraw! Vanilla Bean Lip Balm

Don't forget to moisturize your lips to keep them soft and supple. This is my absolute favorite lip balm and the last step in my nighttime routine. The ingredients are super clean - organic, vegan, and raw - and the vanilla scent is amazing.

If you're looking to swap out your current skin care routine for safer alternatives, give these five non-toxic anti-aging powerhouses a try.
