This is absolutely the easiest barbecue turkey I've ever made. It has just two ingredients -turkey thighs and my sugar-free barbecue sauce. I knew I wouldn't have time to cook dinner, so I just put the turkey thighs in the crockpot and poured the barbecue sauce over them. That's it. By dinner time the house smelled wonderful and the turkey was moist and tender.

This recipe was in the slow cooker in less than five minutes because I had a batch of barbecue sauce in the refrigerator. But even if you have to make the sauce, your hands-on prep time will be under 15 minutes. The peach barbecue sauce recipe is quick and easy to whip up.

You can serve the turkey on the bone, or shred the meat and toss it with barbecue sauce. We had it both ways - two quick and easy dinners with crockpot barbecue turkey thighs.

Can I use chicken breasts? If yes, how does that change the cooking instructions?

Hi Dee, I have not tested this recipe with chicken breasts, but I would probably use 4 chicken breasts and check for doneness at 6 hours. If you try it, let me know how it turns out!
