This pumpkin pie spice recipe is so quick and easy. You probably have all of the ingredients for this homemade spice blend in your pantry.

I love pumpkin pie spice. This is my favorite pumpkin spice mix recipe and it is so easy to make at home. You probably have all of the ingredients in your cupboard.
Pumpkin spice is good on everything this time of year. Anything with pumpkin is obvious, but I like it in hot apple cider or sprinkled on top of a cappuccino. It adds a wonderful spice to baked goods and a lovely warmth to savory dishes.
I like quite a bit of cinnamon in the mix. I think cinnamon is the star of pumpkin pie blend and the other spices play a supporting role. Ginger and nutmeg add warmth. And a little bit of allspice gives it some complexity.
The great thing about making your own pumpkin spice blend is that you can adjust it to your taste. Add extra ginger or use ground clove instead of allspice. Experiment with the blend of spices until you get it just the way you like it.
However you mix it, it's great to have a jar of pumpkin pie spice on the counter to add a little fall flavor to whatever you're making. And of course, it's perfect for everything pumpkin.

Hi! Sorry but I have allergies so can you tell what is actually in All Spice?
I cannot eat chilli or paprika and similar spices.
Thanks x
Lisa
Hi Zoe, allspice is a single spice that tastes like a combination of warm spices. You can read more about it here.
