With Thanksgiving Day fast approaching, I'm finalizing my menu for the big day and including all of my go-to, no-fuss Thanksgiving recipes from delicious side dishes to dessert.
If you're like me, you don't have time to spend all week cooking. I've put together easy paleo versions of all my family's traditional holiday favorites. And I'm sharing my secret to getting it all done with a bit of prep cooking the day (or night) before.
The stress-free menu below works for the family or for a crowd. Just increase the number of servings and the number of side dishes for a larger party. Your family's favorite mashed potatoes or butternut squash would be a great addition.
You'll find guests are always happy to contribute extra vegetable sides or desserts to the meal. And best of all, it lets you spend more time hanging out with family and friends.
How to make a paleo Thanksgiving dinner
Here's my simple plan to pull together your Thanksgiving dinner: make the cranberry sauce, bake the cornbread for the stuffing, put the sweet potatoes in the slow cooker (so they'll be ready to use in the sweet potato casserole), hard-boil the eggs for the deviled eggs, and make the desserts the day before Thanksgiving. Also, don't forget to put a can of coconut milk in the refrigerator for the coconut whipped cream to serve with the pies.
The rest of the dishes can be prepared on Thanksgiving day. Start by assembling the stuffing and refrigerating it until you're ready to bake it. Put the turkey in the oven and make the rest of the side dishes while the turkey roasts.
And most importantly, enlist help in prepping the meal on Thanksgiving Day. Peeling and chopping vegetables is a great job for anyone who joins you in the kitchen—an extra set of hands can make things go a lot faster.

While I vary the menu a little bit every year, this menu includes the traditional favorites my family expects. At my house, the cornbread stuffing is the star of the show and it's not Thanksgiving without it.
